Beckett And Call

Another record here by generic artists, though this time it's a promo for, of all things, a paper company. Apparently, they either made the jacket or provided the paper used to make it. There's a note on there saying it was made from a certain type of paper with a certain type of finish and of a certain weight. Inside and outside of the gatefold are made from different papers in case you were wondering. I do remember it felt a little different that most LP jackets, and had some slightly unfinished edges that seemed odd. I assumed they were supposed to be that way, they didn't appear to be weathered by time but intentional. As I mentioned, the music here is uncredited and perhaps incidental to the advertising purpose. But we're all about the music here at the blog, so I'm sharing it with you. This is The Beckett Paper Company-Season's Greetings From Beckett (The Beckett Paper Company KB 2698, Mono)

1. White Christmas
2. Deck The Halls With Boughs Of Holly
3. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
4. Angels We Have Heard On High

7. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
8. O Come All Ye Faithful
9. Silent Night
10. Jingle Bells
11. Carol Of The Bells

  1. That's called a deckled edge. Beckett was a good quality paper company. I think it was subsumed into Hammermill; not sure if the brand is still around.

    1. Nice sleeve, but the music is kinda cheap. Deckled? Never heard of such, but I'll take your word for it. :)
