Come Back Soon

Well, here I am, back from Las Vegas. Actually, I got back late last night or early this morning, depending on whether you call my plane landing or my going to bed 'getting home'. Anyhow, I'm beat, so the traditional sharing of the pictures is going to have to wait a bit. I actually got plenty of sleep high in the sky over Vegas, but I was working hard when I wasn't sleeping. Hopefully, the photos will be worth the wait. Anybody want to sponsor a return trip for me?

Money Hole Road

The place I stayed during my recent trip to Georgia was right around the corner from a street called Money Hole Road. Yes, it was a dirt road, and no, I didn't find the money or the hole.

Elvis Lives!

Yes, Elvis is apparently still alive, and he's towing cars that are parked illegally at the museum in St. Pete. Who'd a thunk it?

Oxy-Moron

I spotted this sign on the George Washington Parkway just outside of DC. Seemed a bit of an oxymoron to me, George Bush Center For Intelligence. I guess it's really for the first George Bush, though. Pardon the blurriness of the photo, I shot this through the rear window of a car moving at 60 mph away from the sign. I was lucky to get a picture at all.

1689?

As I sat in front of the Museum Of The American Indian today eating my lunch, something about this truck struck me as odd. Look there on the front fender. Since 1689? Well, I'm in the Nation's capitol, and it does have quite a history, but that's a bit excessive.

Arby's Roast Beef

How many Arby's do you know of that still have their original big hat sign? Well, the one in Bradenton, Florida, still does, so I figured I'd better stop and get a picture before it disappears. These things tend to disappear when you least expect it, so I need to do a better job of stopping and shooting the things I take for granted before they go away.

Welcome To Hel

So, in case you were wondering, Hels Half Acre is located somewhere between Easton and Oxford, Maryland. Who knew?
