Here Lizard, Lizard, Lizard

I saw this guy hanging out among the flowers on a palm tree outside the plant festival I went to this morning. I had been just going to take a picture of the bloom, but when I saw him in there, I knew that was the shot. I wish the foliage was a little denser, but it's still a pretty good shot.

Sometimes, I'm just amazed at what good pictures my camera takes. I can't take any credit for it personally. Zoom in on this little guys eye...

Little Lizard

Sometimes, a shot just comes out right, even when you've taken the same picture a thousand times before. I've shot these little lizards plenty of times before, but I've never gotten a shot I could crop this tight and still have it look sharp. This little guy is probably less than an inch high, but I was able to zoom in far enough that you can count the scales on his neck. His snout is a little out of focus, but the eye is sharp, and that's the important part. I'm pretty proud of this shot.

That's Gotta Hurt

I'm always happy when I can catch a lizard in mid-throat thingie. I don't even know what that's called. Some sort of sexual display, maybe? Anyhow, these two pics are both the same lizard. He ran from one side of the tree to the other after I got too close, but he didn't stop doing his little display.
