Another Full Saturday-Part 19
A strange little single for you here, with some strange songs. There's got to be a story here, but I don't know it. Perhaps you do, so please share. This is Israfel's Son with Rudolph Pouts b/w If Flowers Bloomed On Christmas Day (QCA 7" 45 RPM 45-440 DJ Copy Not For Sale, Stereo).
Something this odd usually means either a 'Song Poem' scam (People send in lyrics (Called 'Song Poems' by the scammers) and money to an add promising to turn their words into a hit record.) or a vanity record (Someone pays to have their material recorded.) either way there is definitely an interesting story that as you said will probably never be known.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not sure about this one, but I lean towards vanity pressing. Thanks for the comment!
DeleteI first heard Rudolph Pouts on an Andy Cirzan Mix. I'm not gonna lie... it's on my short list for favorite Christmas songs of all time. It's so bizarre. This is a cover of a song poem, originally recorded by Mary White.
DeleteCheers!

I only dabble with vinyl, but this is one I'm always on the lookout for.
DeleteThank you for everything you do! I've been coming here for years. I did a mass download of many of your posts today. I'm going to go through them this week.
Oh, I didn't know it was a cover of an earlier track. Something else to look for, I guess. It never ends. Thanks for the comments!
