Not First, Not Second

Why would you name your bank Third National? That just seems like an odd choice. I guess there are good reasons for it, but it really doesn't seem like much of a selling point, especially in this day and age when the reasons for the name are long past. But that's neither here nor there, because this record is what it is, and what it is is a selection of fine Christmas music from the folks associated with The Third National Bank in Nashville, Tennessee. Plenty of good stuff here, so download it and give a listen to The Third National Christmas Choir- Third National Presents "Christmas Is" (Third National Bank, Nashville, Tennessee NR3840, Stereo, 1972).

1. Christmas Is
2. Jingle Bells
3. Joy To The World
4. Carol Of The Bells
5. Do You Hear What I Hear
6. Lo, How A Rose E'er Blooming
7. Sleigh Ride
8. The Man Who Owned The Stable
9. Silent Night

  1. Would you believe this hasn't been the only "Third National"? It looks like this particular Third National consolidated multiple times and is now part of Truist Securities. Not to be confused with 5/3 Bank here in the midwest, which came about when another Third National Bank and Fifth National Bank merged about a century ago.
Anyway, thank you again for all of your shares again this year! :)

    1. Yeah, that odd 5/3 bank entered our market a few years ago, and it's quite the odd name. Surely they are due for a rebranding at some point. Thanks for the note!
