A Tuba For Christmas
I've had this record in my collection for a long time now, but never paid much attention to it. That can be a big problem when you have way too many records, trust me. But this year I finally took a closer look and decided it was the sort of thing I might need in my life. How can you go wrong with Christmas carols played by a tuba quartet? I mean, it's a can't-miss proposition! According to the liner notes, this group used to walk around Disneyland and play their music for the guests. There are lots of great songs here with nice arrangements. They're also all short arrangements, so if your attention span won't hang on for too much tuba, you should still be able to enjoy these. All the songs lean toward traditional carols, but there is a great version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town here that you're going to love. This is The Mighty Tubadours-Merry Christmas Album (Crystal S422, Stereo, 1984).

Thanks, Ernie! This looks like a fantastic share. Before listening, it puts me in mind of two Christmas discs by the Canadian Brass. Looking forward to it! - Humanebean (won't let me log in for some reason)
