10" Of Norman

How can you not love The Norman Luboff Choir?  With some of the best voices in the business, they ruled the choir singing portion of the recording business in the late fifties and early sixties.  And I have here for you tonight their earliest Christmas recording, a 10" dating back to 1953.  As near as I can tell, they've never put this out on CD, although they did put some of the tracks on a later 10" in 1955.  Sometime after that, they recorded an all-new collection for a 12" release, also on Columbia, then another 12" on RCA, and eventually a soundtrack that you can also find around here somewhere...  So if you want a choir in your Christmas, this is a good choice.  Please be my guest and download The Norman Luboff Choir-Christmas Carols By The Norman Luboff Choir (Columbia 10" CL 6272, Mono, 1953).

Look forward to listening to this Ernie. This was one of the groups that "was" Christmas in our home with the LPs we played from Thanksgiving to Epiphany.

I too can't wait to listen to this album. Love the Luboff. Thank you! Where were you able to find this one?

Ernie (not Bert) - thanks for your shares. I've just discovered the fabulous network of old vinyl available (via Hooked on Stereophonics) and I'm in heaven. I know how much work it is to do what you're doing, so I greatly appreciate this.
