Record Clubs, Part III

Up next in our survey of releases from ye olde record clubs is this huge two-record set from Columbia. It's credited to The Columbia Musical Treasuries Orchestra but I believe that's just an imaginary group and the actual music is by a number of different session groups, probably based in England. I'm basing this on the wide number of styles found here, it doesn't sound to me like the work of one single group under a single leader. But I could be way off base here. This is a nice large collection that I'm sure you'll enjoy, assuming you don't still have the copy you got from Columbia House back in the Sixties. This is The Columbia Musical Treasuries Orchestra-The Magic Of Christmas (Columbia Musical Treasuries P2S 5246, Stereo, 1968). Oh, I just remembered an old share from Columbia and their record & tape club. Check this one out!
