Zondervan

Looking for stuff to reshare from the past, I stumbled across this sampler for religious label Zondervan that I first shared with you in  2008. I noticed that it never got any comments, and that's a shame.  Every record has something redeeming about it, you just have to look hard.  I'm not sure what that might have been with this one, but I'm sure you'll be able to find something among it's many artists you can appreciate. This is Favorite Songs Of Christmas (Zondervan ZLP 705, Mono, 1967).

1. 16 Singing Men-Go Tell It On The Mountain
2. HCJB Radio Staff-Come, O Ye Shepherds
3. Lorin Whitney-O Come All Ye Faithful
4. Calvin College A Capella Choir-Carol Of The Drum
5. Martha Branham-O Holy Night
6. Ralph Carmichael Orchestra And Chorus-Night Of Miracles
7. Csehy Musical Messengers-Angels We Have Heard On High
8. Back To The Bible Broadcast Choir-Hark The Herald Angels Sing
9. 16 Singing Men-No Room
10. Curt Davis-Joy To The World
11. Helen Barth-Silent Night
12. First Baptist Church Choir-Hallelujah Chorus

  1. Ok, this one will have at least one comment now. I wonder if it's because of the religious nature. People want to hear Christmas music, even religious Christmas music, but don't always want to hear religious Christmas music sung by folks on a religious lagel? Just a theory. Meanwhile, I'm going to enjoy this. Thanks.
