Rod Not Rob
I've been having a hard time keeping this guys name straight since I ripped this LP back in 2015. I never shared it until today though, I was too lazy to scan the album cover and post it. But as we're getting close to the end of the Christmas sharing season (some might say we've passed the end a week or so ago...), I'm finding myself in need of new stuff to share, so I'm going through the archives a little at a time. And then this popped up. I've shared out a lot of records lately made by gospel groups, and this one is solidly in that tradition. Maybe not Southern gospel, or group gospel, or even family gospel, but gospel. Give it a listen, you might like it. This is Rod Ruby With The Christmas Choral Group-Christmas With Rod Ruby (Artist's Recording 790945, Stereo). That label logo looked familiar. Turned out I shared another record on this same label earlier in the year. Small world...

but it’s really not the end of the christmas season yet. we’ve got “the day of the three kings” sometime next week. and then there’s “the day of the two princes who took a wrong turn at albuquerque” coming up in february. plenty of time left for seasonal offerings.
ReplyDeleteDon't tempt me...
ReplyDeleteBoy, I did a lousy clean-up job on that LP. The blue background is all splotchy. :(
Yeah, January 2 is only the ninth day of the twelve days of Christmas. I hate it when people think Christmas Day is the twelfth day.
ReplyDeleteErnie - Ya, I was just about to comment on your slipshod work on the cover. Your delinquent habits are shocking to us all! Sad!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thank you much. These comments are great.
