Super Saturday, Armed Forces Version 4

Our next radio show is from 1969 and features a few second-tier country stars on one side with gospel artists on the flip. I say second-tier, but that doesn't make them bad artists. Everyone loves the Jordanaires, even if it's mostly for their work with Elvis. Again, I'm presenting these as the complete radio shows they are, not as a collection of individual snippets. Back when I first shared this in 2007, I think I may have cut it into pieces for you, but I'm much too lazy for that this year. Please give a listen to Country Christmas (Advertising Division, HQ U.S. Air Force, No Number, Stereo, 1969).

1. The Jordanaires With Marion Worth, Warner Mack And Ray Walker-A Christmas Party With The Jordanaires
2. The Florida Boys And The Singing Rambos-The Gospel Sounds Of Christmas

  1. Well, the Air Force was aiming at country stations with this one, it seems. Nice programs!

    1. Quite a few were aimed at country listeners. They may have been after a certain demographic...
