10-6

High noon on this very special December 10th where we celebrate the humble 10" record. Only the hippest of bands release their music on a 10" record these days, but back in the day pretty much everyone release records in this format. Here's another example of a release that started out life on a ten inch record but was later expanded and released on a 12". I'll share the 12" at some point his season (I hope), but for now, here's the ten inch version of The Canterbury Choir-While Shepherds Watched (MGM 10" 33RPM E147, Mono, 1952). I probably could have gotten rid of that old price tag on there, but I kind of liked it. Always neat to find traces of old record stores (or a coin shop).

1. Angels We Have Heard On High
2. While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night
3. Away In A Manger (Luther's Cradle Hymn)
4. O, Holy Night (Cantique De Noel)
5. In The Bleak Mid-Winter
6. What Child Is This? (Greensleeves)
7. Coventry Carol
8. We Three Kings Of Orient Are
