Christmas With Dino

No, not that Dino. His Christmas stuff has been released on CD so may times and in so many different combinations that it's never going to be out of print. This is Dino Martinelli, whom I know almost nothing about. I've seen several of his LPs from Columbia, each featuring the music of a single composer, so perhaps he was one of those bandleaders that just cranks out product for the sake of product. Certainly the music on this LP is nice, but there's nothing special about it. I don't think anyone will talk about how great his stuff is and how it's changed their Christmas world-view. But it's nice and pleasant and inoffensive. Harmony was a budget label for Columbia Records, and sometimes reissued collections of stuff originally from 78, but this music sounds too hi-fidelity to be that.
