Happy Boxing Day

Real quick, before anyone else gets up on this Boxing Day, here is The Gerald Dargis Chorale-Happy Holiday (Tylent Records TT 1015, Stereo, 1972). It's some nice Choral singing, too bad I couldn't manage to fit them in before Christmas. There are going to be a lot of records shared after the holiday that I'm going to wish I'd shared out before the big day, unfortunately. But there's always next Christmas to look forward to, don't forget that!

1. Shepherds Hearing Angels Sing
2. Carol Of The Bell
3. O Come All Ye Faithful
4. Thou Must Leave Thy Lowly Dwelling
5. Christmas Eve
6. O Holy Night
7. Carol Of The Drum
8. The Sleigh
9. Jesus Falls Asleep
10. Bring A Torch, Jeanette Isabella
11. Silent Night
12. It's A Holiday

  1. Happy Boxing Day, Ernie. Laziest day of the year around here. Playing with our new "toys" and grazing leftovers. Hope yours is good. Have you seen any snow up close yet?

    1. Not for us. We're driving to Roswell to see some aliens, then on to Carlsbad to see the caverns tomorrow. Only snow has been leftover stuff on the ground at the higher elevations. We found one hollow that was pretty full of puffy white stuff for pictures though. :)

  2. We had snow on the ground for weeks, but it warmed up in time for the big day, so nothing remains. Have fun with the aliens and the stalactites.

    1. We'll also see White Sands, the Very Large Array and some Pueblos. It's like the grand tour of New Mexico.

  3. Happy Boxing Day, Ernie - from Canada. Another stat day :)
Sadly, I had Tuesday and Wednesday off, with sick day (terrible sore throat, cough, and runny nose), and then Christmas Day & Boxing Day, and I had already requested Saturday off... so back to work on Monday til Wednesday, then I'm off to celebrate Christmas with my family... and see other family, between New Year's Day and January 5th... Any how, Ernie, you can keep on celebrating, while the it continues to snow in Grande Prairie, Alberta, breaking all the past snow records in this part of Alberta. I'm to the point where I'm wondering how much snow our roof can hold, or how long it can be until our twirly whirly thing and or the smoke stack can be until it's covered?

  4. Well Ernie,
I enjoyed this one and why not, it was a good Chorale group.
Do not get me wrong, I do "not" like all Chorale groups or albums, it just depends.

    2. I listen out for the trained voices.
I guess it was because I started in a Catholic School. We were trained as GODs little angels and to have voices for GOD.
Besides, they always say, or they did in my time there, that a Catholic School education was at a higher standard than a public school.
I just remember, when I finally rebelled at being in the Catholic School, which hurt my mother, and went back to public school, which was a blessing to me, the public school could not imagine I had left the Catholic School. It was the best that ever happened to me, as my self grew in various ways, which it could not do in the Catholic School.

    3. I imagine God likes all the voices, great and small, good and bad. But I can't pretend to speak for the big guy.
