Secondary Seeburg
Here is a re-encode of something I shared back in 2012 that I am not proud of. It's not the recording that I'm unhappy about, it's the fact that at some point in the intervening years I found a stereo version, but then I misplaced it and I can't find it rip and share. I do a terrible job of keeping track of the records I find. Hopefully it will turn up around here one day. I don't have to tell you anything about Seeburg, you know all about them as a competitor to Muzak. This was a demo LP they released showing off their selection of Christmas music. If you like the Muzak stuff, or even the 3M stuff, you'll love this. Have a go at The Sound & Color Of Christmas from Seeburg Background Music (Seeburg 700189, Mono).
1. Medley: We Wish You A Merry Christmas; Carol Of The Bells
2. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

7. Carol Of The Drum ("Little Drummer Boy")
8. Deck The Halls

11. O Christmas Tree
12. Here We Come A-Caroling

be proud of your seeburg.
ReplyDeleteStill enjoy the mom version. Thanks for the great music!
ReplyDeleteBe proud, indeed. Even if it's the 2nd Seeburg record you've shared this season, there is nothing secondary about it. This is essential listening. I think I remember seeing a third Seeburg collection somewhere on your blog. I would love to have more aural wallpaper to decorate this Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Nice. Music I hated as a kid, but have learned to appreciate since. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHi Ernie
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites!
I have a stereo version of this from way back. Happy to share it.
