Somerset (Not Sunset)

What day is this?  I'm not even sure anymore.  Maybe I need to take a step back and catch my breath.  But not until I put up another re-encoded share (as high as I can make it!).  This time it's a re-rip I made in 2011 of something I first shared in 2008.  It's nice music, something I don't think was ever re-released to vinyl, much less digitally.  You'll really want to grab this one if you like the smooth easy listening stuff.  This is The Somerset Strings-Music For Christmas At Home (Epic LN 3159, Mono, 1955).

1. Sleigh Ride
2. White Christmas
3. Silent Night, Holy Night
4. While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks
5. Good King Wenceslas
6. The First Nowell
7. Jingle Bells
8. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
9. Once In Royal David's City
10. It Came Upon The Midnight Clear
11. Away In A Manger
12. O Come All Ye Faithful

  3. Great album cover. I like how they've included an airman in the composition. Thanks!

  4. Huh, I didn't even notice the guy in uniform standing in the back! I thought maybe you'd meant this comment for the very next post which also shows a tiny airman climbing on a jet. :)

  5. Well, I thought it was the perfect segue into your next post and I'm looking forward to some more info ( hopefully) regarding the repurposing of those albums. Interesting details! The "Country Music Time" title seems so out of place.

  6. Hey Ernie,

Is this the same music as found on the 10" I sent you a few years back? The cover is different though.

  7. Yes, I think it's all the same music. I've got it on a series of 7" EPs, too. Is the cover different? I don't remember.
