Harping On Christmas Two
Here's another record that features the music of the harp to celebrate Christmas. Seems a very good fit even if it's difficult to imagine a harp as the lead instrument for any form of music. This is Sally Goodwin-Season's Greetings (Mark MC 6939, Stereo, 1977). I love when the harp is larger than the person playing it.

DeleteI'm always intrigued to see another rendition of My Favorite Things, especially since it's not actually a Christmas song...so fascinating how the combination of it being included on Jack Jones' 1964 Christmas album & popularity of the 1965 film helped cement people covering it in this context.
ReplyDeleteAm I mistaken? I thought Andy Williams was the first to pretend it's a Christmas song.
