ExtraORGANary!
Speaking of organ records with great covers, here's a little gem I shared out back in 2010 that I don't think has come back since. I even remember finding this record at a Goodwill here in Sarasota that's no longer there. I don't remember anything about the music, I'm afraid, but it must be extraORGANary! This is Hal Greene-Christmas ExtraORGANary With Hal Greene At The Hammond Spinet? (WAM Records 5001, Mono).

Why is there a question mark at the end of the title? Hal Greene doesn't seen sure of himself.
ReplyDeleteBetter title than music. LOL. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteCheck it out, Ernie, it's the same cover art as a Junior High School Christmas record that I posted some years ago.

Stranger still is that we posted the records within a week of one another in 2010.
ReplyDeletePretty cool. I've thought about doing whole series of these types of records, linked only by a common cover. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you should!
ReplyDeleteHehee, hahaa Ernie. You must have a warped sense of humor too. I have always loved these titles you give to these shares.
ReplyDeleteI thank Raven176 for bringing attention to this title to those who visit your blog.
Besides, you cannot go wrong with an organ album, or can you?
I was just copying the name on the album here, it really struck me as funny. :)
Deleteand Ernie, it is Hal, not George and Andrew. Plus it is WAM, not Wham!
ReplyDeleteWAM!
DeleteBAM!
DeleteThank you, ma'am!
DeleteHahaa. When I googled to get both names of the guys in Wham!, Google offered me as their first choice of links, that saying.
ReplyDeleteWait, you didn't know the names of the guys in Wham!? Kids today...
DeleteI only remembered George. From the first moment I saw him in a video, I knew he was "gay". Gays are said to have a 6th sense or gaydar. I never could understand how girls could drool over him as they did.
DeleteBecause he had a jacket that said BSA on it. Of course in America we thought that meant Boy Scouts of America and I was very confused...
DeleteBSA stands for, British Motorcycle Brand: BSA is a well-known motorcycle manufacturer known for its classic and stylish designs.
ReplyDeleteI know that now, but I didn't know it then...
DeleteOn the other hand, if George was wearing a jacket from this company, Alpha Industries, it would have been a dead give away.
ReplyDeleteI used to have two of them, but I get tired of things after awhile. So, once their self life expired, so did my interest in them.
Never heard of them.
DeleteIt is a well known American company.
ReplyDeleteDunno...
DeleteThis is really surprising Ernie. From your past posts, I figured you really liked things related to the Air Force - Aviation.
ReplyDeleteThey really are cool looking jackets and feel great to wear.
I had the bomber versions way back when. One in navy blue and one in black.
A friend has the new silver/grey version.
I'm in Florida, we rarely wear jackets, and never wear heavy jackets.
