Old & New Skitch

Here's a combination remaster-new share for the night. Back in 2006, when I first shared this album, I only shared side one, which has all of the winter holiday themed tracks.  Side two features 'Sun Holiday' tracks that really have nothing to do with winter or Christmas, so I didn't even record it back then.  But over the years, enough people have asked me about that other side that I figured I'd go ahead and record the whole thing and share it with you again.  So here is Skitch Henderson At The Piano Conducting the New York Philharmonic-Winter Holiday ((Columbia MS 6381, Stereo, 1962).

1. Winter Wonderland
2. Moonlight In Vermont
3. Sleigh Ride
4. Winter Holiday-Winter Holiday
5. Winter Holiday-Around The Bonfire
6. Winter Holiday-Home Again
7. Troika
8. Caribbean Polka
9. Three Coins In The Fountain
10. Macarenas (La Virgen De La Macarena)
11. La Mer
12. Paris Match
13. Never On Sunday
14. Einsamkeit

  1. Good timing! I had heard his version of We Need A Little Christmas from one of my Grants LPs and went to the internet in search of his Christmas LP, only to come up empty. Then, same day, you post this!

  2. Ernie, after reading Inkydog's post, do you have a cleaned up version of "We need a Little Christmas" by Skitch Henderson? I know you shared it before, but not a remastered version. Just curious...

  3. Looks like I shared out a remastered, stereo version this summer. Maybe it's still up. I had a whole pile of random Skitch tracks I thought about pairing with this LP, but I didn't do it. I'm lazy.

  4. Aha! I went back for found it. I forgot I grabbed it this summer. Sorry about that Ernie!
