An impressive collection! Quite a number of unusual items here.
ReplyDeleteI had wanted to do collections with nothing but unusual items, but I opted for quantity over quality. But my quality is sometimes someone else's garbage, so at least there's something here for everyone. :)

ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for someone to point out that one of the songs is actually a guy with a gender-neutral name. I didn't listen too closely as I was putting the records into their pile. But nothing so far. :)
DeleteWas surprised that you stuck in "Cold Cold Winter" on this playlist and not on the Winter one you posted Saturday. As I commented here in 2022; It's a decent song from Anita Bryant, yet not my favorite from her. I have yet to find it on an LP.
ReplyDeleteI think it's in stereo on her greatest hits album, but I don't think I have it either. I just remember looking it up at Discogs at one time.
DeleteAlso, thank you SO MUCH for adding "Happy Birthday Dear Christ Child" to your playlist this year; it is a song that Christian radio stations should be playing frequently during the Christmas season, yet most people don't know it even exists! Did not know that the song even made it to 45 RPM; I will most definitely be on the lookout for my own personal copy. I've got the song on both the Stereo LP and CD versions of the RCA Kate Smith Christmas Album.

DeleteAlso great that you got to include Melanie's Christmas song on this playlist, being that she was one of the first music people to pass away in 2024; one of her last YouTube videos she posted weeks before her death was her reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas."
ReplyDeleteSomebody posted a huge list of Christmas music by people who had passed away this year. It was so long as to be overwhelming. Not sure where that was... :(
