43-Kanaka Christmas
Potluck is what it says by my notes for today's theme. I think that's not entirely true as I managed to squeeze in a few Hawaiian Christmas records that sorta go together, but beyond that I don't see much of a theme here. So potluck it is, a real grab bag of goodies for you on this Thursday. Christmas was a long time ago so I'm really running on borrowed time here. Hope you can still enjoy the goodies, or at least sock them away for Christmas next year.

Amazing - Hawaiian Christmas songs without "Mele Kalikimaka"!
ReplyDeleteI like Mele Kalikimaka! :)
DeleteThat's a good thing!
ReplyDeleteGood thing you were able to sneak in Michael Damien sometime this season; that has been one of my favorites since you initially uploaded it here during the 2022 Christmas season. I was surprised that another label harnessed the mid-'60's Capitol Star Line 45 label design years after they quit it (in 1991, no less, during a time when new vinyl meant either 45s or a special pressing from a record club!)
ReplyDeleteI keep hoping to find something by Michael Damian as good as his Rock On cover, but alas, it's never going to happen. :(
DeleteAside from Les and Mary, Johnny Desmond, & the DeCastro Sisters, there really isn't much in this playlist that I will be listening to; you have Christmas 45s in your collection from artists I would have never have in mine.
ReplyDeleteI buy just about all the Christmas 45s I can find that are cheap, I'm not too picky. :)
