40-Sock It To Me Santa
Near as I can tell, today is the twelfth day of Christmas, AKA Epiphany, AKA Little Christmas. It's the end of the season officially, but I've got a little surprise for you. It's not the end of the season around here. I've still got some 45s in the pile that I want to share with you so I'm going to keep on going. How long, I can't say for sure, but the end is certainly in sight. Don't worry though, I'm going to keep the quality just as high as it's been all season. For instance, today is the third installment of Christmas music from Canada and it's another great collection. I couldn't find a Christmas greeting from a third Canadian artist, so I went with Swedish bombshell Ann-Margaret. (And I think this is the second greeting from her this season, which I meant to avoid but oops...) All the rest of the songs come from Canadian artists or at least Canadian records. You really can't go wrong with any of these, it's good stuff. Enjoy!

Nice to see a set Of Cancon on here! I'm surprised Stompin' Tom didn't make the cut? Mitchell Kezin is smiling from heaven. Thanks for your continued hard work on here Ernie!! Happy Little Christmas Everyone.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have any Stompin' Tom 45s or I'm sure he would have shown up on one of these three collections. I'm pretty far from Canada and this stuff is hard enough to dig up. :)
DeleteThanks for another great year Ernie!!
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure! Thanks for hangin' around this long!
DeleteThank you for continuing the Christmas festivities. I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteGoing as long as I can, but not too much longer. I have to start getting ready for next year. :)
DeleteEnd of the season? Nonsense!
ReplyDeleteThe historic case for leaving your Christmas decorations up until February
Makes sense, I guess. Try to stay festive as long as possible in the darkest days of winter.
DeleteErnie - I hope the Canadians appreciate all you are doing for their musical heritage! I am sure Justin Trudeau would send you a message if he weren't so busy cleaning out his desk.
ReplyDeleteBlue Carbuncle - I don't need a historic case for leaving decorations up. Old age and sloth are good enough for me.
Poor guy might be getting out at just the right time. He won't have much to do once Trump annexes the entire Northern Hemisphere.
DeleteShhhh. Don't tell anyone but I left the Christmas tree up in the living room all year long. Of course it wasn't always a Christmas tree. It was a Valentines tree, St Patrick tree, Easter tree, Victoria day tree, Canada Day tree, Labour Day tree, Thanksgiving tree, Halloween tree, Remembrance Day tree and finally, once again, the 2024 Christmas tree! :)
DeleteThanks so much, Ernie, for the Wonderful Contributions that you've made to all of our Christmas Celebrations this year!
ReplyDeletePlease enjoy a Fantastic 2025!!!
Hey Vic! Missed your Christmas collection this year. Hope you can get back to that in 2025! :)
DeleteMerci Ernie!
ReplyDeleteIt rhymes!! :)
DeleteBy my bad math, that's over 130 Canadian Christmas shares this season- demonstrating the country's rich musical history. My favorites are "Chanson de Noel" (which also fits nicely with your bells theme), "Le Sentier de la Niege", and "Sock It To Me Santa". Thanks for this!
ReplyDelete- Steve in PA
Yep, something like that. Canada is so close to the North Pole that I would expect nothing less. There are also random Canadian songs scattered throughout the other shares, so you just never know where they're going to show up. :)
