2022 At 78 RPM-Part 35

Time for the next installment of Christmas from 78s! A big batch of goodies from the heavy black shellac. I'm too tired to spend a lot of time yakking about what's in the pile, I'm just going to throw it up here and let you folks talk amongst yourselves about whether it's any good or not. Enjoy!

  1. An overwhelming supply of good stuff. You have been so diligent this year that Santa is sure to reward you come December 25.

I like the looks of the Oscar McLollie record and the one titled "WHIZ - Xmas Tree."

  3. Thanks Ernie for the many presents in this week's offering! Besides the subtle and delicate "Xmass Tree", "God Gave Us Christmas " and "Merry Christmas Rhumba" are standouts.

  5. This batch actually did cause quite a bit of talk amongst myself!

I have a mild obsession with the song "An Old Christmas Card" and I’ve never run across this version.

Another mild obsession is the label of "On This Christmas Eve" by Joe Graydon. I’ve had the track on a CD for a while, but I’d never seen a promo or stock scan of the 78 or 45 label before now.

So, thanks for your continued efforts. You’re helping in ways you don’t even know!

  6. Thanks all, for the many fine comments. Glad there was something in there for everyone. And thanks for the list. I wish I had the time to list out the contents in all my 78 posts, but there never seem to be enough hours in the day.

    More to come, promise!

  7. I missed this batch last month. I'm glad I checked and found the Mills Brothers track here. I don't have any idea how many Christmas songs they recorded, but I have seen about 3 or 4 that aren't on their one Christmas album I have. Thanks, Ernie!
