38-Snow

If there's one thing we don't get here in Florida, it's a white Christmas. And the chances of snow two days later aren't much better, though I suppose it's happened before. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it to happen this year. But that's not going to keep me from handing out a nice big pile of snow songs to you, all plucked from The Internet Archive. There's plenty here to enjoy, from the known to the unknown, common to scarce. You'll find plenty to listen to, I guarantee it!

  1. We're still waiting for snow here too, although neighbouring higher elevation communities have got some.

  5. Thanks a bazillion, Ernie! These are so much fun. We usually keep Christmas music running at least through the New Year and this year might return to the childhood tradition of keeping up all the decor and playing the records until the Orthodox Christmas on January 7th. It's been said elsewhere, but I really believe the people who "hate" Christmas music actually hate all the same dopey songs they hear at the mall, associating them with the misery of Christmas shopping. This year I have been spared that, and instead find a bunch of 78s on my desktop every day. Merry Christmas to you from Chicago!

  7. Oh, we got some snow last night! Maybe 2-3 inches! But it's sunny as summer out there so the snow will be gone soon.
