ReplyDeleteI grew up watching and listening to Bob because our local NBC affiliate picked up his show. I think he also made occasional visits here to do promos and special appearances. My grandmother and great grandmother were almost as crazy for Bob as they were Tom Jones and Don Ho.

Thanks for this share. My grandmother and her sister took me to a taping of Bob's over in Cincinnati when I was really little in the 70s. I'm always surprised when I hear his name come up because his show was regional, but most people my age (40) have never heard of him. He even came up last month on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson! Jay Leno was the guest and he mentioned doing live commercials on Bob's show.
