The Big Moon
Don't know if you read about it, but the full moon on Friday night was supposed to be as large as it ever gets. The moon was as close as it ever gets to the Earth, and thus is as big as it ever gets. I almost forgot, but I remembered later and pulled out the camera for a couple of shots. I don't know that it actually looked any larger, but it was certainly bright.
I saw the full Moon last night and thought it looked bigger than usual, but that could just be due to the ``news'' (local weather man) coverage.
ReplyDeleteBTW, did you see the conjunction of the newish Moon with Venus and Jupiter two weeks ago?
WV: flesten; Thanks for all the Flestentünen!
Very nice pic, Ernie!
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteI took some, too. Yours looks sharper, but I managed some good dynamic range. My first attempt at snapping celestial bodies. (Link to it is the name URL.)
