Short Round

Christmas has come and gone, yet I don't think I've had the chance to share any country Christmas music with you all season long. That senseless neglect ends now. This is Shorty And Betty With The Nashville Longhorns-A Merry Country Christmas (Noel Records N-2, Stereo). Says it right there in the title, A Merry Country Christmas. I like when my Christmas product is clearly labelled.

1. Silent Night
2. O Little Town Of Bethlehem
3. Jolly Old Saint Nicholas
4. O Come All Ye Faithful
5. O Christmas Tree
6. It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
7. Jingle Bells
8. Blue Christmas
9. Go Tell It On The Mountain
10. Away In The Manger
11. The First Noel
12. We Wish You A Merry Christmas

    1. Ok, Christmas Day has come and gone... No one gets all twelve days of Christmas off of work. :)

    2. I do - I'm retired. That's what gives me the time to write these senseless comments day and night.

What is this Ernie, you share several country type albums before this one.
Anyway, I liked this one. Another toe tapper.
Oh, I get approximately 16 days off for Christmas, maybe an extra day added to this.

    Strange, really so few comments.
What happens, do people close down after Christmas day.
You know Ernie, next year, save all the good stuff for after Christmas.
???, what am I saying, there is always good stuff after Christmas that so many seem to be missing.

    1. I think I posted a lot of things out of order this season, so I probably filled in some gaps earlier in the season with other country shares. But they are all at the very least interesting.

And I try really hard to not share all the best stuff before Christmas. Even though I know the viewership drops off after the holiday, I don't want that period to become a dumping ground. If I did all the best stuff before the big day, it would be even quieter here afterwards than it is now. So I try to hold back some good stuff, there's just a lot less as a whole. I'll probably make a post at the beginning of next season highlighting all the stuff that was shared after Christmas. I've done that for a few years and I think it helps guide some people to those shares.
