34-New Year's Eve Party
Last day of the year! We made it! And what a year it's been. Best thing that happened was getting married after being a lifelong bachelor for the first fifty or so years. The worst thing that happened was getting flooded out of my parent's house during Hurricane Milton three weeks before the wedding. Everything else has been somewhere between those two extremes. I'll just be glad when this year is over and we can get on with the next one. The theme today is obviously New Year's & New Year's Eve songs, though supplanted with a healthy helping of regular Christmas tunes as well. And since there aren't that many New Year's songs out there, I've temporarily suspended my rule against using the same song more than once. You'll find more than your fair share of Auld Lang Syne and What Are You Doing New Year's Ev versions here. Just hold your nose and listen, it'll be OK. I even dug up a special New Year's greeting for you from the one and only Ann-Margret. Enjoy!

DeleteHappy New Year and thanks for the great selection of records, one record has given me wake up 'David Grant & the Wallace Fields Middle School Choir', Wallace Fields is one of the local Schools in Ewell, many of the Children in the road I live in go there, I had no knowledge of them appearing on a record.
ReplyDeleteI always get excited when I find a record from close by me, so I know how you feel. These things tend to pop up in unexpected places though, don't they? :)
