Songs To Sing
Someone pointed out that I had shared out that last record before, only in a different guise, and they were correct. I had even gone ahead and re-recorded that version for sharing this year and it had slipped my mind. So here, without much ado, is Songs To Sing At Christmas Time (AKA Christmas Comes To Our House) (Grand Award G.A. 33-348, Mono). You'd think I could have come up with a better cover to scan than this one, but I'm afraid this is all I could find in the archives. Not to say I don't have a better one somewhere, but who knows where it is. For the record, I shared this out back in 2006 for the first time.

Hi Ernie, glad you offered a new share for this.
ReplyDeleteI was checking my external hard drive, and noticed my copy of this album, was it from you at one point or internet archive, anyway was at a strange bit rate.
So, this update will gladly be its replacement.
I shared things at a lower bitrate back then, so it could have been from me. Don't think it's too different from what you downloaded earlier today though.
DeleteGreat Shares! looking forward to listening to this album and the Waldorf one when I have the time available.
ReplyDeleteThey're good stuff, if you can wade through the different releases.
DeletePlus, for the most part they play "real" instrument's I believe, and "no" auto tuning either.
DeleteHonestly, the music of today and a bit earlier, is so cold and too polished. I love polished, but sometimes it is just to overboard.
Real instruments were their only choice at the time, unless you were Raymond Scott. :)
DeleteErnie I just noticed it says the following on the album jacket.
ReplyDelete"Perfect Musical Background For Your Happy Holiday".
In other words, everyone, family and friends, all arrive at the same time. Immediately exchange greetings and gifts, kick everyone out, in the short span of time of 32 minutes with seconds to spare.
Now that is what I call a Happy Holiday. Especially if those gifts are the spending kind.
Well, you could keep flipping the record over, but it gets pretty boring after a while.
