A Capital Idea
The next installment in this never-ending Christmas season features another unique cover design likely designed by a student. I love these custom cover images. This was from the era when a photograph might have proven to be too expensive to reproduce but a two color image was easily and cheaply printed. Capital University appears to be in Columbus, Ohio, though I've never heard of it. And who would have imagined, it appears to be associated with a local Lutheran church. Those Lutheran's are just turning up everywhere this season. Please download and enjoy Capital University Chapel Choir-Christmas Music (The Coronet Recording Co. LPS 3029, Stereo).

Well Ernie, a nice album this is. Decided to listen to it at home. Cleaning up a bit more of my Christmas folders, etc.
ReplyDeleteThat's rare for you...
DeleteErnie, it seems you have been doing this blog for 21 years now. That is a "long" time.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought...
Have you thought of changing how you do this blog? To allow more time for yourself?
Go weekly. Pick a weekly date to share one album.
From Thanksgiving until January 6th, maybe 4 shares a day?
Mayby one day a week during this time offer a super day of extra shares.
So, this might be 200 shares over all. Less than your current sharing.
Then share one album per week, even during Christmas in July.
- These can be done ahead of time, just waiting to be shared out once per week.
Plus, I am sure there are any number of old shares, that would like a new sharing.
You mentioned that it is harder to find Christmas in July shares. I am not certain, but I have a feeling, many of the older shares are no longer active? You can bring them back to life. One day just newer shares. Other days, reshare the older shares from years ago.
I try to do something a little bit different every year. We'll have to wait and see what this year might bring. :)

ReplyDeleteI don't seem to do a very good job of checking Discogs lately. I think I do, but I clearly don't, or not as often as I should. Thanks for the check!
DeleteNice album! (Not so sure about that cover. It looks like a lung x-ray.)
ReplyDeleteYes, I think the thought behind it is better than the actual product. But it's better than another stock picture of a candle. :)
DeleteThis album made me smile, but then the red lettering sets me off ;)
ReplyDeleteUniversity names make me wonder sometimes... Capital seems to have nothing with Lutheran, but who knows ;)
