CiJ 2025-Day 10
A little bit of good news for you today. I found an LP deep in the stacks that should have been in the Christmas in July stack, and another one at a little local thrift store, so I was able to add almost thirty tracks to the pool. That lets me increase the songs per day up to eight from seven. And I'm likely to need to bump that up again later in the month as I figure out what exactly is in the pile. Still going to be a lot of sampler tracks which I know are not one of our favorite bits, but they make for a more healthy download each day. Headline track for the day is from the Allen Keller LP shown above. It's a rerun from a previous year, but it's the sort of thing I really love to find. A true Christmas track that doesn't seem to have seen the light of day anywhere else. And how can you go wrong with something on Charlie Parker's record label?

Love these posts Ernie! Can't wait till the season starts en I can decorate the house here. Thanks for the songs.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be here before you know it, which is a little scary because I have so much work to do. I'm dreading it a little, which is the wrong attitude, but I've set my sights so high I'm not sure how I'll get there.
DeleteAll in time Ernie. You'll get there, don't worry.
DeleteHey, I have that Allen Keller record, which proves he sold more than one. Can't say I've ever listened to it, so thanks for the transfer!
ReplyDeleteHe sold three because I have two copies. Dunno what the rest of it sounds like though, I can't get past the Christmas song. :)
DeleteFinally all caught up! Personally, you're killing it this year. Only 5 tracks so far that were not in my wheelhouse. And that is one hell of a batting average! Well done. Thanks, as always.
ReplyDeleteReally? Even the demo tracks? Some of those are good, but as soon as you get into, they fade away... :(
DeleteWell, they help fill out some of the mixes. Works for me.
ReplyDeleteErnie great to see you back in July, My collection of Christmas music would be no where without you. After 15 years of seeing blogs come and go, its great to see your still here working hard at amazing us with your collection that you are willing to share, thanks for working so hard.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure, thanks for stopping by. Yeah, there aren't too many blogs around anymore, not like the old days where there were so many you couldn't hope to see them all. But sometimes I feel like a dinosaur.
