Wonderful - I have some of these and have even shared a few, but there are many rare items that should provide great pleasure!
ReplyDeleteJust your usual Eddie Davis demo on Art Records. Same ol'. But, seriously, great-looking playlist, and I can't wait to hear Enoch Light on Remington!
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys. It's a mix of common and uncommon stuff, I try to be very broad in my dips. :) Hope I didn't stare out too much stuff that others have grabbed before, but I know I'm sharing out stuff that I've sometimes shared before from cleaner 45's or LP's. It's just all about the 78s this year. I love being able to share such a wide random set of stuff. :)
ReplyDeletehere we gooooooo! thanks Ernie!
ReplyDeleteexcellent way to end Turkey Day.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Awesome, thanks! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful post. I'm go glad to have your blog available to hear these forgotten gems. Keep up the great work. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Keep coming back, I've got a ton of goodies just like this to share with you all season! It's weird not to be sharing full albums, but it's good stuff, I think, and I was excited to find it.
ReplyDeleteHoly crow! I've waded through those archives and randomly searched and clicked on links for fun. This is an entirely different effort from years past, Ernie. Thanks for all of your work!
ReplyDeleteOh, it was a lot of fun. And a little easier to listen to now, I think. :) Though much of the stuff can be found elsewhere now, there's still quite a bit in there that is unavailable elsewhere. I was going to concentrate on just that stuff at first, but then the collector completist in me took over, and I just downloaded all sorts of good stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteErnie, I can't thank you enough for these clean-ups of Internet Archive material. You and Buster have explored and, in the nicest sense, exploited this incredible treasure trove. There are scores of records that sonic dweebs like myself hope you will refurbish. In the meantime, this promises to be one of the most meaningful Christmas seasons--musically speaking--ever.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ernie. Look forward to your curated music every year and this does not disappoint.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous stuff! Thank you, Ernie!
ReplyDeleteGreat Stuff! Thanks Ernie :)
ReplyDeleteHi Ernie-

Best, Pete
Thank you very much! Perfect start.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your posts every year. Thank you for this labor of love!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Ernie. The best of the season to you.
