Christmas Is Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

I've told you time and again that you never know what's in the grooves until you put a needle in there. And this cheap album with a great cover is no exception. The 'name' artist they mention on the front cover is The Pied Pipers, and they're pretty good, but the big surprise here for me back in 2005 was the song sung by Thurl Ravenscroft. On here he sings Joy To The World, but you most likely know him for You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch. He did tons of voice work for everyone from Disney to Kelloggs. (He was the voice of Tony The Tiger!) It turns out that he recorded quite a bit more Christmas music that I never knew about, but this was the only track I ever found. If you're interested, the please download The Pied Pipers Sing Favorite Christmas Carols (Tops L 1650, Mono, 1958).
