Another Full Saturday-Part 26

Sneaking in one more just under the wire here for you again. This is a single song from the guy I only know because he had a song in a movie called Dream A Little Dream I saw as a teenager and I enjoyed the soundtrack. Schlocky teen pap of the day, but that's why they make it. Hope this song is a little better. This is Michael Damian-Christmas Time Without You (Weir Brothers 7" 45 RPM WBR-413, Stereo, 1987).

Another Full Saturday-Part 25

How about a rare share on the half-hour? And it's only one song, so you won't have any trouble downloading it before the hour is up. This is the one and only St. Nick with Jingle Bells (Laughing All The Way) (Warner Bros/Curb 7" 45 RPM WBS49877, Stereo, 1981). Ha!

Another Full Saturday-Part 24

Almost to the end of the day, thank goodness, this pace is killing me. I hope you're finding some good stuff in the downloads though. Next out of the box is some good fifties innuendo, with a little bit of sing-along with Mitch for good measure. This is The Lancers-With Orchestra And Chorus Directed By Van Alexander with I Wanna Do More Than Whistle (Under The Mistletoe) b/w 'Twas The Night Before Christmas (Coral 7" 45 RPM 9-61314, Mono, 1954). This is the sort of stuff I wish I could share all season long, but there's only so much of it out there.

Another Full Saturday-Part 23

Another hour goes by, another Christmas song pops up, or two songs, as the case may be. This may be the only punny title I have for you all season, so you'd better enjoy it. This is Willie Rainford with There'll Be Rain, Dear This Christmas b/w Christmas Shoes (Candy 7" 45 RPM C 1035, Stereo, 1972). And no, it's not *that* Christmas Shoes. And notice how his name changes from Rainford on one side to Rainsford on the other. Now that's quality control!

Another Full Saturday-Part 22

Another pair of Christmas gems here for you, I know you've been waiting patiently all day for 'em. This is Tracey Lee And Lucky-All I Want For Christmas (Is Love From Mom & Dad) b/w Lucky-Music Box For Christmas (Kum Ba Ya 7" 45 RPM 110028X, Stereo, 1981). No idea who these folks might be, but they're probably still out there somewhere. Maybe they'll stumble across this post someday and say hi.

Christmas On The Radio-Part 9

Another day, another production music LP for you. Up next is another one from the fine folks at TTS, filled with more music to help you fill in the odd corners of that Christmas mix I know you're working on. Better hurry though, you're running out of days to get it finished. I'm not running out of music, though, you're going to keep right on getting it until the end of the year, and maybe a little bit more. I'm well prepared the year! For now, this is New TTS-Sales & Holidays #3423 (William B. Tanner Company #3423, Stereo). Enjoy!

Another Full Saturday-Part 20

Here's something a little bit better than that last share, at least it has a recognizable name associated with it. This is Jenny Lynn-Arranged & Conducted By Randy Van Horne-Gee! It's Christmas Day b/w Jingle Bells (Beta 7" 45 RPM BR 1000, Mono). If you don't recognize the name, Randy Van Horne had a great Christmas album that you should look up. I don't think I can share it around here because it's been reissued in the digital age, but it's worth your trouble to track down.

Another Full Saturday-Part 19

A strange little single for you here, with some strange songs. There's got to be a story here, but I don't know it. Perhaps you do, so please share. This is Israfel's Son with Rudolph Pouts b/w If Flowers Bloomed On Christmas Day (QCA 7" 45 RPM 45-440 DJ Copy Not For Sale, Stereo).

Another Full Saturday-Part 18

I said last week I wasn't going to do this hourly thing again this week, but here I am. I must be a glutton for punishment. I'm starting to remember why it's so hard. It's not like I'm doing much of a write-up for each of these shares, and they're all really small, but it all takes time, and there are a lot of steps to bring it all together. I hope y'all are enjoying the music. And don't forget, if you use any of my stuff in your annual Christmas comp, you've got to leave me a link in the comments so I can download and listen. I love to see comps that were able to make use of some of my shares. In the meantime, here's Art Lund With The Quartones-Orchestra Conducted By LeRoy Holmes-(Sweet Angie) The Christmas Tree Angel b/w Little Toy Town Parade (MGM 7" 45 RPM K10780, Mono, 1950). I love the stuff I've heard by LeRoy Holmes, so I'm sure you'll love this single. Enjoy!

What time is it? Oh, four PM, I thought it was later than that. Still a long way to go today. Let's see what I can find in the pile to share. It's still a pretty big pile, but it's still early in December. How about The Schiavone Sisters with Granny Claus b/w Christmas Child (O' Bambino) (De-Lite 7" 45 RPM 510, Mono, 1968). This will be interesting, I'm sure.

2022 At 78 RPM-Part 49

It's that time of the week again when I share with you a large pile of Christmas music from 78s shared at The Internet Archive. If you're new around here, you should work your way back to the beginning because I've been doing this since the first of the year, and it's now a large collection of great music. If you've been here since the beginning, then welcome back. Either way, this collection is great because I cherry-picked some of the best stuff that was shared out in the past few days (their monthly dump comes at the end of each month) in a rush to get you some really great stuff for Christmas listening.
