Not Cape Hatteras


Guess where I didn't go today? That's right, I didn't go to the lighthouse on Cape Hatteras in North Carolina. But the lighthouse you see here might look an awful lot like that one. The difference is in the red top, which is tough to make out in the picture above, but I think you can see it below. This is the St. Augustine lighthouse, which is painted in a spiral pattern very similar to that other lighthouse several hundred miles up the coast. This one is also quite a bit shorter, but it's hard to tell that until you climb all those stairs. I'm working in Daytona Beach for the next few days, and I came over early today so I could spend some time in St. Augustine. I hope to bring you some pictures while I'm over here, including lots more from the lighthouse, so stay tuned!
