Christmas Bonus 1
As I was saying, yesterday was supposed to be the end of the Christmas sharing. I had most of that recorded early in the year and it was all pretty much in the can by October. As the sharing season rolled around, I started finding a few more things here and there. I had some very successful trips to a few local record stores (they don't normally have Christmas singles but brought out some nice stuff for the holiday) and I even had an awesome donation from a friend of the blog. You can imagine how hard it must be to shop for me if you're intent on giving me Christmas music I don't already have, and yet I suddenly got dozens and dozens of new singles. I couldn't just ignore the new piles, so I started recording and before I knew it I had over 200 more tracks. I was able to lump in a few leftover tracks from the flip sides of records shared out in the first 45 batches, things I had avoided because I had too many versions of common songs, and then I filled all the groups up to the magic number of 45 songs by plundering some older shares from previous years. So these extra bonus shares may not have the same song diversity but they are guaranteed to have some good things that you've never heard of, same as all the other downloads this season. So if you've still got a little Christmas spirit left in you, please be my guest and enjoy a few more bonus days of sharity.
