Bing (Not Chandler)

Right off the bat, let me emphasize that there is no download here. Even after saying that, I'll find references in other places to this blog and they'll claim I have a Bing Crosby download. I'm convinced that every noise the man uttered on record has now been released on CD somewhere somehow. I've found a couple of kiddie records that he was involved in that I wanted to share, but sure enough, they are out on CD. Now that I've got that off my chest, I just wanted to share this cover with you. I think some of these old record covers are pretty spiffy, and they'll never see the light of day again outside of box sets and books. This is Bing Crosby-Christmas Greetings (Decca DLP 5020, 10", 1949). I think it was a collection of old tracks originally issued on 78s, collected up and called an album. It features the Adrews Sisters on a couple of tracks, too. I hope you guys will indulge me with these occasional posts without shares and not whine too hard.

  1. That reminds me of a movie I saw last night for the first time: White Christmas. I had to wait until the very end for them to sing the one Christmas song in the whole movie. Still, it was good to finally see it.
