12" On The 12th-Part 4

Bringing up the rear of my short series of 12" singles today is a fairly rare record for the blog. It's a rap record, not the sort of thing I share every day. But hopefully you'll get a kick out of it. It's a bunch of white boys doing their best. It's on a country label out of Nashville, so we can only guess as to how this record ever made it to vinyl. This is Society Threat-It's Christmas Yes It Is (Airborne ABL-9003, Stereo, 1988). Once again, it's multiple versions of the same song, so once you've heard one, you may not need to hear all the others. Enjoy, if you can!

1. It's Christmas, Yes It Is (Long)
2. It's Christmas, Yes It Is (Short)
3. It's Christmas, Yes It Is (Instrumental)

  1. Definitely don't see this every day- not a bad song. This will get a few more passes on my car radio this Christmas. You're coming up with quite the variety today: All your effort this season is much appreciated!

    1. You'll at least have to narrow it down to one version. Three is just too many!

  2. What a cover. Nothing says Christmas quite so much as graffiti on a lime green wall.

  3. Gotta say, this definitely stands out as one of the gems this year! According to the magazine Black Radio Exclusive 11-25-1988, Society Threat was also known as the rap group So Def Crew from Evictious Records
    Thanks again!
