12" On The 12th-Part 3

Up next is something a little more standard for the 12" DJ record format, a set of multiple remixes of the same song. This is certainly the sort of thing that would have been played in a club. They would pick a mix that fit into the style of music being played at the moment in order to keep the momentum going out on the dance floor. Hopefully you can dance the night away to The Winans-The Real Meaning Of Christmas (Qwest 12" 45 RPM 0-20606, Stereo, 1986). Enjoy!

1. The Real Meaning Of Christmas (Extended Version)
2. The Real Meaning Of Christmas (Dub Mix)
3. The Real Meaning Of Christmas (7" Version)
4. The Real Meaning Of Christmas (The New Life Version)

  1. Back to back gospel records! This one has a different, more modern sound than Daniebelle Hall, and very nice singing. Thanks!

    1. Well, of course it does, it's from at least ten years later. Lots of new styles and synthesizers came along in those ten years. Music changes so fast it's hard for an old fogey like my to keep up anymore so I stick to these oldies. :)
