The Ten Inchers Of Christmas-Part IV

That's enough chimes for now, how about we head to the island of Puerto Rico next and something that borders on operatic? Not opera mind you, but the voice of someone who once performed at The Met in NYC. This is Graciela Rivera-Navidad Con Graciela Rivera (Balseiro (Puerto Rico) 10" 33 RPM BLE 7, Mono). And yes, once again, it's a 10" record as they all are today.

1. Silent Night
2. Aguinaldo de Quintón
3. Il Est Né Le Divine Enfant
4. White Christmas
5. Arbolito
6. O Holy Night
7. Maria Wiegenlied
8. Aguinaldo
9. A La Nanita Nana
10. Dormi, Dormi O Bel Bambino

  1. What a great voice! Found out she was the 1st Puerto Rican to sing lead at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and she was NYC's Citizen of the Year in 1953. I've heard "Arbolito" on a few Puerto Rican Christmas albums, but never from an opera singer. Thanks for sharing this!

    1. I guess I can't say I've never shared any Christmas opera singing anymore. :)
