Singles Sunday #9-The Best Yet

I don't use the word 'best' very often, but I think this may be the best single I share with you all day. This is a record from the great Louis Prima, one that you don't hear, don't see, don't even know about.  How many times this year will you hear What Will Santa Claus Say (When He Finds Everybody Swinging)?  About a million, I suspect.  And Shake Hands With Santa Claus?  About a million more.  But they're forgetting about this great single he released a few years after either of those.  We need to band together and do our best to raise consciousness about this great record, so be sure you add these two tunes to your Christmas mixes, and make this record better known.  Perhaps the copyright holders need to be awakened to it's existence, just don't tell them where you got your copy, I don't want to get sued.  This is Louis Prima-Senor Santa Claus b/w Santa, How Come Your Eyes Are Green When Last Year They Were Blue? (Buena Vista 7" 45 RPM F-454, Mono, 1966).

  1. Nice share. It's hard to believe Disney put out this B-side.

  2. Mediafire link isn't working, Ernie. Says it's been identified as copyrighted material. Torrent works just fine though. Thanks, can't wait to hear this!

  3. Yes, Mediafire already pinched this one off. I will try to keep the torrent seeded for some time.

  4. Disney may never do anything with it, but it's a guarantee they don't miss a thing. Surprised it even lasted long enough for one download.

Prima recorded many albums for Disney after he did "The Jungle Book," but only a few of them still see the light of day.

  5. Looks like they got the torrent copy too! Too bad because it looked wonderful.

  6. Proof that, if Disney had their way, all titles released before 2000 would be consigned to the dustbin if they couldn't still make some money on a few selective titles.

Torrent still working and seeding well.
