One of the things I discovered this season is that many of the songs featured on those Goodyear Great Songs Of Christmas records also featured as singles at one time or another. What I still don't know is whether those singles existed prior to the collections and were pulled for those collections, or whether the songs were pulled from the collections and issued as singles. This one featured on Volume 4 of The Great Songs Of Christmas, which came out in 1964, so in this case, the single came out first. Doesn't matter, I guess, except that when those songs showed up as singles, they had to have flip sides, and that means more music! This example features The Brothers Four, and includes two songs that didn't make it to their full-length Christmas album. That album is now available elsewhere, but this is another single that got forgotten along the way. So if you are like me and are trying to build a complete collection, download The Brothers Four-What Child Is This? (Greensleeves) b/w Christmas Bells (Columbia 7" 45 RPM 4-42235 Radio Station Copy, Mono, 1961).
