Dasher

Been trying to get to this for a while now, and maybe today is a good day to start.  For many years, I've done a special Christmas In July celebration here at the blog.  I find Christmas songs that are plopped down right in the middle of regular, every day run of the mill albums, and I rip them and compile them into daily doses.  Stuff that has long been forgotten or lost gets found and enjoyed again.  Then at the end of the month, I try to gather together the best of those tracks and make a compilation.  It usually takes me a while to get all that assembled, so the best-pf collection usually comes out at Christmas time or even the following year.  I'd like to re-feature some of those collections with you now, because they all have good stuff on there that I think you'll really enjoy during the holiday season. The first of these collections is from 2006, though I revisited it last year and replaced a couple of the tracks with newer rips to try and improve the sound a little bit.  The tracks are listed below and linked to the day I first shared them.  Have a listen to The Best Of Christmas In July 2006 From Ernie (Not Bert).

  1. I went through these in reverse order, so this is the last one to grab for me. Thank you so much for revisiting all this greatness from past years. Much appreciated.

  2. Yeah, I post them in real time, but then you see them on the blog backwards. Design flaw.

  5. Whoops, here's a 2020 link to the 2015 redo of the 2006 collection. Some better recordings, higher bitrates, etc. Still the same songs though.
