Home Christmas

Another from the deep dark recesses of 2008, ten years ago now, this is one of those budget albums that's wrapped in a great cover.  There's something to be said for these beautiful covers that contain mediocre music, but I'm not sure what that may be.  I bought a big handful of ultra-cheap budget Christmas LPs  last weekend just because I liked the covers and they were in good shape.  Most of these don't survive the years because people didn't take care of them.  If it scratches or falls apart, we'll just by a new one at the supermarket for $0.99!  Well, not anymore, but back in the day.  To hear the music behind this now 60 year old baby, please download Fontanna, His Orchestra And Chorus-Christmas At Home (Masterseal MS-81, Mono, 1958).

1. Silent Night

9. Winter Wonderland
10. I'll Be Home For Xmas

say, there's a new gift shop in times square.
it only sells 3 things: incense, myrrh, and gold.
it's called "orient R us".

Who do you suppose Fontanna (with two n's, please) was? His LPs are still in every thrift store.

And who is this barba (with the small b)? He is a most unusual fellow.
