  1. That's a particularly nice cover, I'd say.

  2. Ernie, if you never ripped and processed and posted anything else, or nabbed and spiffed up and shared one single other Internet Archive item, your body of work clearly puts you at the Everest of getting-stuff-done. I've been collecting your posts since '05 or so and, dude, I'll be listening to it for the rest of my life.

That's the thing, man, it's all just so good, lots of great audio, incredible fidelity, memorable and noteworthy releases that would otherwise be lost, especially the 78 RPM material.

I mean, c'mon, over 200 posts all during the holidays EVERY YEAR for SO MANY YEARS. Truly wonderful collections of really great lesser-known material in July (and on into August) during SO MANY YEARS. All told, in aggregate, a collection that provides a substantial archive of excellent content. Man, if you stopped now, your gifts to us all are truly herculean.

All those nice covers, too. Gosh.

That said, I'm certain we'll keep seeing more from you. Thanks, Ernie. Be well. Stay safe.

Shout out to Buster, too, and many thanks for all his shares, comments, and commentary.

  4. Ernie, I happen to be listening to this (I don't recall when I dl'd it, lol) and noticed track 3 on 1st CD is incorrect. You have "The Sportsmen - Jingle Bells" but it's not by them. The version here is a kids chorus and kazoo! It's not that bad and wondering if you may know who it is, the year, etc? Thanks.

  5. Well, it's not the Sportsmen you may know and love, but that was the credit on the budget LP I recorded it from. :) No idea who the real artist may be, you know how those budget records are...

  6. Is it possible that the generic artist or budget label artist, whatever they're called (lol) went by The Sportsmen? Or did you error :)

  7. That was the name on the record, but it's not the group commonly known as The Sportsmen. This is the record I recorded it from:
