Christmas In July 2023-Part 6
Part six, in which we venture from pop songs to slightly more pretentious fare. I try to bring you all different types of music here in July, and today is certainly no exception. Some more orchestral stuff today, nothing very poppy. Sometimes I wonder how I find this stuff, other times I think that it must find me.

Did I mention my new car? It's electric! A Chevy Bolt EUV, first new car since a 2008 Toyota that I bought a couple years old. No more gas for me. :)
Now you can use that gas money to buy more records! :-)
ReplyDeleteNope, I have to use the gas money to install the proper charging outlet in the condo. Charging off of 110 is a slow process. :)
DeleteI hope it has a roomy trunk for all the records you will buy and enough range to get you to your far-flung record haunts - and back!
ReplyDeleteIf I fold the back seats down, it holds a lot. But it's been a long time since I've bought that many records in a trip.
DeleteNot to mention a hell of a lot less in maintenance costs. Good luck with it.
ReplyDeleteYep, no oil, but now I have three different cooling loops under the hood. And I hear brakes can be an issue because you don't use them frequently. The car stops by regeneration, using the potential energy of the forward momentum to recharge the battery. Pretty surprising how well it works.
