Renewed Ramsey The Second

Here's a little re-do of one of the favorite downloads of all time. Don't know if I'm still allowed to share this, but I hope so. This may be the only share you get all season that can honestly be called jazz.  This is The Ramsey Lewis Trio-More Sounds Of Christmas (Cadet LPS-745, Stereo, 1964), first recorded and shared 'round here back in 2007, so this remaster only took me five years to get to.

1. Snowbound
2. The Twelve Days Of Christmas
3. Egg Nog
4. Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer
5. Jingle Bells
6. Plum Puddin'
7. Snowfall
8. We Three Kings
9. White Christmas
10. Little Drummer Boy

Pretty sure the one I recorded is shown up top, but I also found this other cover. I'm afraid I didn't do enough research to figure out which one came first and which one is a re-issue. Pretty sure I've seen a third cover as well, but I couldn't dig it up to scan it when I had the chance.

  3. LOL! According to MF, you're not allowed. The torrent is coming in just fine though. Thanks a lot.

  4. Ernie, Ramsey Lewis is awesome. And everything you've shared has been this season, as always. Keep up the good work! Torrents are great, BTW. Trying to do my part by seeding.

  5. This is nice. I am listening to "Eggnog" right now.
Do you have any more music featuring the Celeste?

  6. This one's gone, and I've given up trying to figure out how to get to the torrent (I've downloaded several Firefox clients and none of them work).

  7. KL from NYC, don't give up on torrents just like that - they're so easy to use.
Forget about Firefox clients; get something like utorrent.

  8. First issued in 1964 on Argo Records with the frosted wreath cover - I've never seen an Argo copy.

If one believes Discogs, it was reissued in 1965 on Chess Records - never knew about that version.

It was reissued in 1966 on Cadet Records: the first cover being the frosted wreath with CADET simply stuck on the front - the second being the colored house cover.

It was finally reissued on Chess in 1984 with its original cover altered quite a bit. The white title banner is now red and the frosted wreath picture is B&W!

    Hope this helps

  10. This and pretty much all of the Ernie (Not Bert) album share torrents are well-seeded.

  12. Ryan, over at http://hif-fi-holiday.blogspot.com says "If you've tried to grab a classic christmas record in the past 6-10 months but the link was dead, please try again. They're now completely fixed!"
