The Week With Christmas!

For those of you who have been waiting for it, here's the picture from this week's calendar page. Not very Christmas-like, is it? This iguana makes his home on Gasparilla Island, near Boca Grande. Oh, and the picture below? That's the very first page of next year's calendar, which my Grandmother will get as a Christmas present later this morning. So don't let the cat out of the bag. I guess this one isn't a very Christmassy picture either. This is the St. Pete Pier.

  1. The St. Pete pier looks kinda festive...what type of stuff is in that building?

  2. It's a sort of a tourist trap. Lots of little shops on the first floor, meeting rooms and whatnot on the second floor, if I remember correctly. Third floor is a Columbia Restaurant, and the fourth floor is another restaurant and observation deck. Rumor has it the whole thing is badly in need of restoration and may be torn down and rebuilt soon. It's been an icon around the whole area for years. I remember seeing it on TV in promos for various channels when I was a little kid.
