Twas The Night Before Christmas
This record was requested last year when I posted the doodle from the flip side. The copy I had then was in terrible shape, so I wasn't able to record it until I finally found a nicer copy this year. This recording is designed to be played only once a year, on Christmas Eve, to help put excited little children to bed. And that's why it's here. Download and play it for your little ones, and maybe they'll be a little easier to get to bed tonight. I know I'll sleep better tonight, knowing I'm finally done with all my Christmas work. Here's your link-'Twas The Night Before Christmas (RCA Camden CAS-1101, 1968). And to all a good night!
Sleep better tonight knowing you've made thousands of people happy with your shares... get some well deserved shut eye!

Thank you,

Hi there! I've been looking for this album FOREVER! my cousin and I had the whole thing choreographed, and performed it every Christmas eve for several years. Now she wants to teach it to her daughter, but we no longer have the record -
ReplyDeleteI don't understand how your link is working - its taking me to www.usenext.de - some site in germany? do I have to sign up for this in order to get to the download? Could you just email it to me? Any info you have would be excellent!
thanks!

The link seems to be working just fine at the moment. It takes you to lix.in, where you have to type in the code you see on the screen, then you go over to RapidShare where you can download the ZIP file. It's tedious, but it's free for you and me, which means I get to share lots and lots of music.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this, Ernie! I can't tell you how much this means to us -
ReplyDeletethanks!

My brother and I still listen to this record every Christmas to this day. That's about 20 years. There's something magic about it. I get excited just seeing the cover.
ReplyDeleteVic- Would your friend mind posting a current picture? That would be neato.
Is the file still available? I just found the link; my wife LOVES this album and now tells the story to our kids. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteIt should still be available at this newer repost from last year.

My sister and I listened to this every year on Christmas Eve. Our record collection got mildewed and warped over the years -- what a joy to find this treasure. Now we can share it with our kids. THANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for this for years. my childhood copy is sooo scratched. one thing... my download...closing dialogue side 2 is a repeat of santa's toyshop. do you still have the closing dialogue side 2 available? thank you again. love love having this again.
ReplyDeleteI was so EXCITED to find you! My brothers and I would listen to this every year, my Mom would roll out our Huge stereo every year. Now on the cusp on 50 it still brings back memories of "the good old days" . This record brings a special warmth in my heart. THIS record IS CHRISTMAS to me. :) I am giddy with delight to hear this for Christmas Eve once more, it sure brings the little kid out in me every time!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone knows where I could get a copy today maybe in a CD that would be great!
Thanks! And....have fun at Santas Work Shop....
I know this is a long shot but could you please repost these files since rapidshare is now unavailable. My mom used to listen to this as a little girl and would love it as a Christmas present if I could download it!
ReplyDeleteI and then my three daughters listened to this LP every year growing up. Accidentally it got sold at a car boot sale and we all regretted this. My eldest daughter is now 22 and sadly they lost their father this year. It would mean so much to us to hear this this Christmas again. How could I get hold of it or download it...does anyone know? Thank you.
