56-Scoop Number Eight

We're getting down to the bottom of the stack here, there are only a few more days worth of shares left. I'm having a hard time getting all the files processed in time to share them, so that tells me I just need to back off and let this seemingly bottomless well of Christmas music run dry for another year. But we're not there yet, and I hope the bottom of the stack doesn't equal bottom of the barrel.  There's good stuff here, stuff I bet many of you have never heard. If any of you have heard of Buddy Bear before, well, I want to know where!  This is a great selection of stuff from the collection of The Internet Archive, and you can't go wrong with it.  Download it now and save it for next year if you must, it may be gone by then, you just never know!

55-More Little Bits

Another day, another double handful of very short Christmas songs from The Internet Archive. I sorta cheated on this one, since I'm giving you almost the entire contents of a Christmas themed educational set all at once, rather than breaking it up over different shares. It's late in the season and I'm throwing rules to the wind, so to speak. I say almost because I think I held back one song that was a little bit long to pretend it was very short. Pretty sure everything today is from educational records designed to teach music in the classroom, as have been most of my short selections. I think when I went to elementary school in the 70's, I caught the very tail end of the folk music in the early grades fad. I can remember singing songs about history and what-not, many of which are probably not considered PC these days. Anyhow, there's some good short Christmas tunes here for you, I'm sure they are something you'll enjoy!

54-Scoop Seven

Way, way into the new year here, but I've still got a few more things to share with you. The Internet Archive is so vast that little things keep popping up here and there that I want to share with you. Many of the things you see here are songs I downloaded recently, though certainly not all of them. Some of these have been in the pile since well before the season started, you'll probably remember seeing the flip side of them earlier. And then I discovered at least one thing that was in this pile that had been shared out earlier. I discovered it soon enough that I was able to remove it, but I guess my share QA system is a little lacking. I hope I haven't duplicated too many thing this year. As has been the case a lot lately, and will be the case most of the rest of the season, there isn't really a theme here, just a deep scoop into the leftover pile. Not to say there isn't good stuff here, I think there is, but there's nothing tying any of the songs together. Just all good music I'm sure you'll enjoy!

53-Little Bits More

Since my previous post of a large quantity of very short Christmas songs was sort of a hit, here's another batch of little tiny songs to use here and there to spice up your mix. We start out with yet more from the great Frank Luther, then a few tracks from a gas company Christmas record (You know how I love those!), then a whole bunch of things from educational records of the fifties. Those can be pretty good, too, you just never know what you'll find. I'm also including some Thanksgiving, New Year's and even Chanukah music that I found, so I've got all the holiday bases covered here. As usual, all the songs here are from the great collection at The Internet Archive. Head over there and take a look around, you won't be disappointed.  Hope you're enjoying these.
